The Older & Wider Podcast

A responsive, multi-page marketing website for Older & Wider, the real UK comedy podcast hosted by writer-producer Judith Holder and comedian Jenny Eclair.

Problem: The podcast had a devoted audience but no home of its own - a place to introduce the show, embed the player, point people to live dates and merchandise, and let listeners get in touch and share their stories.

Approach: I wireframed the whole thing in Figma before writing a line of code, then hand-built it using semantic HTML, an embedded podcast player and Instagram feed, accessible forms with their own custom completion pages, responsive images with srcset, ARIA where the markup alone could not do the job, and a custom 404 error page. The copy is threaded with the show's own running jokes, so it reads like it belongs to the podcast rather than a template.

Result: A fast, accessible site that captures the podcast's tone and gives listeners one obvious place to listen, follow, and make contact.
