The Cult Film Club

A production-grade B2C e-commerce platform for collectors of cult films on physical media - DVD, Blu-ray and 4K - built and deployed like a real store, because it is one.

Problem: Streaming libraries come and go at the whim of licensing deals, and collectors of rare and limited-edition releases have nowhere built for the way they actually shop - searching a proper catalogue, tracking wants, and buying with confidence.

Approach: I mapped the full journey, from browsing to checkout, then built it on Django and PostgreSQL - a searchable product catalogue, secure accounts with order and address management, cart, wishlists, discount codes and free shipping (over a certain threshold), Stripe payments, and an admin side for inventory, sales and order fulfilment. Tasks were planned and prioritised using MoSCoW before a line of code was written.

Result: A complete store that works the way collectors expect, tested end to end and deployed to a live host - not a demo, but a store you could actually run.
